Cool weather isn’t an excuse to stay cooped up inside. Head to the Eden Prairie Outdoor Center for the regular Nature Rocks! event, and burn off a little of that excess energy. Come out for some holiday fun. Make the Sleigh Bells and Sparkle parade part of your holiday tradition. This parade is complete with floats that will light up the night, courtesy of local businesses, and is fun for all ages. Santa and Mrs. Claus will even make an appearance. A special night of trail trick-or-treating awaits you and the family at Lowry Nature Center’s Enchanted Forest Halloween. Visitors can enjoy a sweet and salty mix of popcorn and treats while watching live storytelling, a mad scientist skit and puppet show. Costumes are encouraged. Those in business or interested in Chinese culture should make a point to attend this introductory session on basic protocol. The class is taught by Hong Kong native Margaret Li, who has offered Chinese cultural training to Fortune 500 companies for the past 20 years. Covered topics include table manners, dress codes, superstitions, negotiating skills, business etiquette and more. Youth 15–17 may register with a guardian. $25. 6–7:30 p.m.
