Life on the International Space Station - What's it like?

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Saturday, February 16 at 10:30 am for Life on the International Space Station - What's it like? How do astronauts get to and from the ISS? What do they do there? How long do they stay? What do they eat? All of these questions and more will be answered in this informative session about the science and research conducted largest structure ever assembled in space.  Audience: Children grades K-6, teens, and adults

Gnome Sweet Gnome

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Saturday, January 19 at 10:30 a.m. for Gnome Sweet Gnome. Take your gnome friend with you, wherever you may go. Using a simple pattern, cut out and hand-sew an outfit to match your gnome’s personality. You’ll never be bored with your gnome friend by your side. Presented by the Textile Center.

Toddler & Preschool Drive-In Movie

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Thursday, January 17 at 10:15am for Toddler & Preschool Drive-In Movie. Ready for a Drive-In Movie?  Bring a box that your child can sit in. We will have craft supplies on hand to rev-up your child’s “car”!  We will have a small supply of boxes on hand so don’t let not having one stop you from joining us. We will enjoy popcorn and a video of Mo Willem’s “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!”.  Get in gear and drive on over! Ages 2-5.

Improve Yourself in the New Year With Meditation

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Saturday, January 12 at 11:00 a.m. for Improve Yourself in the New Year With Meditation. The New Year is a time to create a clean slate. Join Arvind Naik, long time meditator for this powerful workshop. Arvind has been inspiring audiences on how to practice and learn this very simple technique which provides many benefits. There will even be a little meditation sitting at the end. Bring joy, peace, positivity and relaxation into your daily life and begin the New Year with a fresh start.

Chinese Dragon Lantern Art for kids

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Saturday, January 12 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. for Chinese Dragon Lantern Art for kids. Prepare for Chinese New Year by making a colorful dragon lantern! Learn to draw a Chinese style dragon then color it as you wish with bright and metallic crayons. We will then construct a colorful lantern shape around our drawing with neon paper and add a handle for hanging. This art workshop is for children in grades K-5th. Presented by White Bear Center for the Arts. 

Baby Storytime

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m. for Baby Storytime. Stories, songs, fingerplays and more to encourage the development of early literacy skills. For children birth to 24 months & caregivers. 

Program is free and no registration is necessary.

Family Storytime: Stillwater Library

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Wednesdays, January 2 through April 24 from 10:15 - 10:45 a.m. for Family Storytime. Stories, songs, finger plays, and more to encourage the development of early literacy skills.  For all children and their families or caregivers.

SNEAKY SQUIRREL MYSTERY

(FOR CHILDREN, AGES 8+ WITH ADULT)

Stella the Squirrel has done it again! She’s rummaged through your belongings and now your precious magnifying glass is missing. Where can it be? Track down clues using a GPS unit to piece together where she’s hidden it. Closed-toed shoes and long pants recommended.
