One of the most talked-about events of the Cold War was the downing of the American U-2 spy plane piloted by Francis Gary Powers over the Soviet Union on May 1, 1960. The event was depicted in the Steven Spielberg movie Bridge of Spies. Come to the Stillwater Library on Wednesday, July 31 to celebrate the Harry Potter book series. Activities for youth will take place through out the library from 1:30-5:00 p.m. The Ministry of Magic strongly encourages your presence at this celebration of the Boy Who Lived. Watch for more details but there will be photo-ops, costume contests, crafts, sorting house activities, trivia, butterbeer tasting, HP board games, displays, and a mandrake scavenger hunt.
