The Hudson Hot Air Affair fills the winter sky with breathtaking color.

The Hudson Hot Air Affair is not to be missed. This annual event fills the winter sky with breathtaking color. But before liftoff, spectators get an up-close view at these magnificent hot air balloons and can watch their operators stoke the flames that fill them. This year’s theme is “Balloon’n Up Nort’ Yah Sure, You Betcha.” So pile on your plaid and get out there for this family friendly experience. In addition to the scheduled balloon launches, this premier winter festival includes a torchlight parade, geocaching and a craft fair with lots of fun home décor, apparel and gift items for sale.

Balloon launches are scheduled for Saturday, February 8th at 7:35 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and on Sunday, February 9th at 7:35 a.m. weather permitting. Please note that strong winds, snow or rain contribute to poor flight conditions and could cause cancellation of a scheduled launch. Also, no alcohol, smoking, drones or pets other than service animals are permitted on the launch field.
