Samantha Burke, an elopement photographer from New Richmond, Wisconsin, captures love stories year-round. Last February, she joined Duncan Pierce and Gentina Patton for an intimate elopement at The Backwater on the Bay, a lake home rental in Amery, Wisconsin. The day included a ceremony by the fireplace, lunch with their two kids, a game of cribbage and pictures on a frozen lake. For this image, the trio had to move fast, as the temperature outside was nearly -20 F. “I love their laughter in this photo and just the pure happiness that shines through here!” Burke says. “Despite it being negative temperatures outside, they still got to have a blast and make the most of it.”
