The annual Stillwater fine arts festival is back to celebrate a variety of local artists.
Stillwater’s Rivertown Fall Art Festival celebrates its 47th year with over 190 artists—the largest in its history. The festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., October 5 and 6.
“The Rivertown Fall Art Festival is a cornerstone of our community, showcasing the incredible talent of our artists and the vibrant spirit of Stillwater,” says Robin Anthony, president of the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce.
The festival will take place in Lowell Park, and the Stillwater trolley will be available for free rides from the Cub Foods parking lot, Stillwater Junior High School and Pioneer Park.
Attending artists include jewelry makers, painters, photographers, potters and many more. While browsing the booths, attendees can enjoy drinks from the beverage tent or food from various food trucks. A full list of attending artists and vendors can be found on the Stillwater Chamber website.
Sunday’s theme will be “Art-toberfest,” with live polka music from Squeezy Wes Miller and Friends and DyVersaCo. Sunday will also feature a special beer offering, and nuts and pretzels from Wir Nuts.
Anthony encourages attendees to venture outside the festival and explore the rest of Stillwater. “It’s an event that brings people together to celebrate art, culture and the beauty of our historic town,” she says. “Festival-go’ers make a weekend of it and enjoy all that Stillwater has to offer!”
