From 5-7 p.m. on February 3, Belwin Conservancy will host Midwinter Family Fun. This night of free outdoor activities features hikes through the snow guided by Belwin naturalists, stargazing with Minnesota Astronomical Society and s’mores around several campfires. The event is free and will take place at the Hilltop Classroom at the Education Site.
Don’t miss this chance to go stargazing with one of the biggest refractive telescopes in the state! The Joseph J. Casby Observatory will be open and volunteers from the Minnesota Astronomical Society will be there to help you see the stars. If you get cold, warm drinks will be available indoors.
Guided hikes will be available all evening. For families with young children, you can join Parent, Child, and Family Educator, Jenny Hanlon from Stillwater ECFE at 5:45 p.m. for a short hike, exploration and songs specifically geared toward families with children 5 and under. Feel free to bring a sled or carrier for your child if they are likely to get tired from walking. We look forward to seeing you for a fun night out in nature.
No dogs allowed at this event.
