Stillwater Winterfest: Opening Ceremonies

Stillwater is gearing up to celebrate winter in true St. Croix Valley style as Winterfest returns February 15–23, 2026. Now in its 9th year, this annual, community-wide celebration invites residents and visitors to embrace the season through unique events, local flavor, spirited competition and unforgettable winter experiences.

Winterfest is designed to bring the Stillwater area together during the heart of winter while boosting local businesses, enhancing the community atmosphere and supporting local charities. With activities ranging from family-friendly events to high-energy nightlife, Winterfest offers something for everyone.

Winterfest is presented by the University of Stillwater, the fictitious St. Croix community campus for Glory Days enthusiasts. With its playful school spirit theme and focus on community connection, Winterfest has become a signature winter tradition in Stillwater.

Opening Ceremonies & Fireworks, February 20: Winterfest officially begins with opening ceremonies and live music at JX Venue, followed by fireworks viewing from Papa’s Rooftop and River Siren Brewery.
