For the Kids

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Thursday, January 17 at 10:15am for Toddler & Preschool Drive-In Movie. Ready for a Drive-In Movie?  Bring a box that your child can sit in. We will have craft supplies on hand to rev-up your child’s “car”!  We will have a small supply of boxes on hand so don’t let not having one stop you from joining us. We will enjoy popcorn and a video of Mo Willem’s “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!”.  Get in gear and drive on over! Ages 2-5.

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Saturday, January 12 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. for Chinese Dragon Lantern Art for kids. Prepare for Chinese New Year by making a colorful dragon lantern! Learn to draw a Chinese style dragon then color it as you wish with bright and metallic crayons. We will then construct a colorful lantern shape around our drawing with neon paper and add a handle for hanging. This art workshop is for children in grades K-5th. Presented by White Bear Center for the Arts. 

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m. for Baby Storytime. Stories, songs, fingerplays and more to encourage the development of early literacy skills. For children birth to 24 months & caregivers.

Watch these two country angels join forces to turn their good ol’ laundromat into a bootscootin’ honky-tonk, exacting a touch of revenge against those that done ’em wrong, all while guaranteeing every customer a good, clean time!

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Wednesday, June 13 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. for Felt Collage Class for Kids (Grades K-5). Explore line, shape and color while making a bright felt collage based on the paintings of 20th century Austrian artist, Friedensreich Hundertwasser. We will explore the textures of different textiles and how to manipulate those materials when making a collage. Kids in grades K-5 who are able to work independently (or with an older sibling) are welcome to participate. 

Join us on Thursday, June 7 from 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. for the Kick Off of Stillwater Public Library's summer learning celebration! What is everyone laughing about? It’s the Midwest’s favorite Kid’s Comedy Clown duo, Mixed Nuts. When Lori tries to throw a party for all of the Summer readers, Mark's silly playfulness gets in the way. Join us for physical comedy, age-appropriate humor and uproarious audience participation!

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Monday, May 14 between 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM for PAWS to Read with Bella. Did you know the library is one place your child can build confidence reading to a furry friend? Bella, the Golden Retriever, is a Certified Therapy dog who visits certain Mondays and she loves when kids read to her. This program is geared toward kids ages 7-12.
