Belwin Bison Festival

Fun activities for all ages. 5k Run with the Bison at 9:00 a.m. (fun trail run prior to the bison’s arrival), then live music, eco-arts, food trucks, and the bison release from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

9:00 a.m.: Run with the Bison

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Festival

$10 per car.

Midwinter Family Fun

View the stars and moon with Minnesota Astronomical Society members, meet a raptor from Carpenter Nature Center, and enjoy arts/ecological activities and a campfire with s’mores.

Belwin’s Education Center and the Joseph J. Casby Observatory will be open.

$10 per car.

Sever’s Holiday Lights

Gather your family and friends in the car to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Sever’s Holiday Lights. This year the half-mile course, located at Sever’s Festival grounds in Shakopee, is packed with 2 million lights set to holiday music favorites mixed to an upbeat track.

Stay in the safety and comfort of your own vehicle while enjoying this one-of-a-kind magical display. Munch on concessions including homemade calzones, mini donuts, cider and caramel corn. Unity Day

UNITY DAY, the signature event for National Bullying Prevention Month, will take place on Wednesday, October 21. This is the day when people around the world come together to unite for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to create a world without bullying!

The call to action is simple: wear and share the color ORANGE!

Unity Day was initiated by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center to encourage students, educators, parents, community members, schools, businesses, and organizations to show their support for bullying prevention in one giant, orange message of hope. Read more about Unity Day

Online: Magic School Bus Club Session

Who’s to say schoolwork isn’t fun? With the Wayzata Community Ed STEM Club classes, your child will develop their problem solving, critical analysis and peer collaboration skills, all while learning about mechanical engineering basics!
