Summer Reading Kick-Off with Brodini - Comic Magician

Join us at Stillwater Public Library on Saturday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m. for Summer Reading Kick-Off with Brodini - Comic Magician. International Master Magician, Brodini, is back! He'll be helping us kick-off the start of Summer Reading! Enjoy the wonderful comedy magic and pick up your reading reading materials while you're at it. Check back often to see what's been added to the event caledar because it's going to be another fun summer at the library.

Family Storytime: Stillwater Library

Join us at Stillwater Public Library on Wednesdays from 10:15 - 10:45 a.m. for stories, songs, fingerplays, and more to encourage the development of early literacy skills. For all children and their caregivers. We will have special guests or themes on the following dates: May 29 - Color My World with the Storyman from England, June 5 - STEM Storytime with Warner Nature Center, July 10 - STEM Storytime, and August 28 - Let’s Move & Sound Like Animals with the Storyman from England.

Budgeting for Teens - Adulting 101

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Monday, May 20 at 6:30 p.m. for Budgeting for Teens - Adulting 101. Sometimes, we tell our soon-to-be-adults to watch how they spend their money but we don't tell them how to come up with a spending plan to do this. This session will help them understand the why and how about budgeting. Presented by Wells Fargo.

Baby Storytime: Stillwater Public Library

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m. for Baby Storytime. Stories and activities for young children ages birth through 24 months and their caregivers. Join us each week for books, songs, and more to encourage development of early literacy skills. This 20 minute session will be followed by open play time.

Memorial Day Weekend at Historic Fort Snelling

Honor the history of Minnesota at Fort Snelling this Memorial Day. Learn the stories of the fort’s role in the youth of our country. See demonstrations of centuries-old ways of living, join activities on the parade grounds, and maybe hear the old cannons fire. All ages.

Shelter Vet Camp at the Animal Humane Society

If your child wants to grow up to be a veterinarian, this 3-hour program can set them down the right path. They’ll learn about surgery skills using a pretend patient, how to recognize common illnesses and what it’s like to work at a shelter. Kids grades 3-6.

Arts, Crafts and Gift Show

Browse through a variety of unique handiwork made from local artisans. Featuring glassware, ceramics, fashion jewelry, giftware, floral design and more. Visitors can immerse themselves in a handmade paradise. All ages. Free. 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Make an impact on your community by walking or running in time or untimed races ranging in distances from 1K to 5K. Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure is invested in raising awareness, funding and support for curing breast cancer. All ages. Prices vary. All day.
