Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical

Follow the successes and struggles of Rosemary Clooney’s jazz singing career from the 50’s to her comeback in 70’s and beyond. Minneapolis director Eric Morris promises not a typical jukebox musical and will feature many of the jazz great’s most popular songs.

Spring Art Show in Afton March 16-31

AFTON, MN — Squire House Gardens will offer a group exhibition of six Minnesota/Wisconsin artists. The annual spring show titled ‘Reflection’ will run from March 16 through March 31. Participating artists are painters James Wilcox Dimmers, Ruth Oseid Johnson, Angie Malin and Mary Jo Van Dell; metal artist/blacksmith Lisa Elias and ceramic artist Kerry Brooks.

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Thursdays this month at 6:30 p.m. for Pajama Storytime. Feel free to wear pajamas to this family storytime in the evening featuring stories, songs, rhymes, movement, and other activities.

Spring Break - LEGO Build

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Thursday, March 14 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm for Spring Break - LEGO Build. We know not everyone is going to be out of town during the district's spring break. Come to the library and attempt some LEGO challenges. Creations will be on display in the stairwell glass display case. You can also play with our 2 newly donation Laser Peg sets!

Coiled Jewelry (Adult Class)

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Friday, March 22 from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm for Coiled Jewelry (Adult Class). Add a statement piece to your accessory collection! Using a variety of yarns and threads, learn how to wrap and tie in a coiling method to make a colorful knotted necklace or bracelet.

Artist Reception: Kristin Prideaux, Surreal Images

The Stillwater Public Library is pleased to present an exhibit of Kristin Prideaux’s photography. Titled ‘Surreal Images,’ the show features unique perspectives on Stillwater landmarks and will be in the gallery in March and April. Meet Kristin at the artist reception, on Sunday, March 24 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

Book Buddies Read Aloud (Grades K-2)

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on the third Monday each month at 5:00 p.m. for the new program series Book Buddies Read Aloud. Book Buddies is a youth literacy program for children from Kindergarten to Second Grade. Guest readers, Buddies, may be members of the Teen Advisory Board or other community volunteers. A librarian will supervise the program. Following about 20 minutes (with wiggle breaks) where the buddy will read aloud to attendees, there will be a short discussion and a craft or activity that ties into the book.
