Join us at Stillwater Public Library on the first Saturday of each month through November between 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. for Brick Party. For kids of all ages to use their imagination to create using bricks derived from a word meaning "play well". Bricks will be provided by the library please leave yours at home. This is a time for open build but challenge ideas will be offered. Ages 5-12 can meet in the Storytime Room but older youth can build in the Teen Program Room during the same time. Close out your summer this September with the YMCA and Royal Credit Union Foundation, camping out at the fifth annual Prairie Burn Music Festival. Proceeds benefit the YMCA Camp Endowment Fund, allowing children great camp experiences in the coming years. The festival will feature live music, camp games and activities for all ages. Come listen to the sweet sounds of Yam Haus and Haley Bonar or grab some grub at a nearby food truck.

Join us at Stillwater Public Library on Wednesdays from 3:00 - 7:30 p.m. to experience "Art Cart." In addition to being fun, making things with your hands benefits child development, especially fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Each week, we'll provide supplies and a suggested project that you can make with your child. This self paced activity for you to enjoy with your child(ren) will be set up in the storytime room.

Join us at the Stillwater Public Library on Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m. for Baby Storytime with singing, talking, reading, writing, and playing at this inclusive storytime for families with babies. This is a time for you and your baby to bond with one another. Stay and play after storytime (until noon). It’s a great opportunity to meet new friends, socialize, and strengthen early literacy skills! This storytime is recommended for developmental ages 0-2 and their grown-ups (siblings always welcome).

Stillwater has talent! Join us at Stillwater Public Library on Saturday, August 17 at 10:30 a.m. to share your special talent during the Children's Department's talent show. Children ages 5-12 can pick up a form at the library beginning July 15. Forms must be turned in by a parent or guardian no later than Monday, August 12. You can perform alone or as an act. Singing, dancing, jokes, musical numbers, juggling, and more are all welcome. Everyone who participates will receive a small prize. Family and friends are welcome to be part of the audience. Join us at Stillwater Public Library on Monday, August 5 at 1:00 p.m. for Australian Animal Drawings. The native people of Australia created detailed drawings of local animals as a means of story telling. We will draw simple animal outlines then fill them with line patterns in an x-ray style.
