Tiger Tracks 5K and Family Run/ Walk

Earn your stripes and join the Minnesota Zoo for their annual Tiger Tracks 5K to raise money for wildlife conservation. The race starts at the Shady Oaks Picnic area and follows a course through the zoo on outdoor trails. Registered participants will receive free admission to the zoo on the event day and a commemorative t-shirt. Strollers are welcome.

Shout Out Loud Minnesota - A Suicide Prevention Charity Event

Join us for the 2nd Annual ‘Shout Out Loud’ Suicide Prevention and Resource Awareness event! Our main goal with Shout Out Loud is to normalize the conversation about suicide prevention in our community and encourage participation in local wellness resources. YMCA Prairie Burn Music Festival

Close out your summer this September with the YMCA and Royal Credit Union Foundation, camping out at the fifth annual Prairie Burn Music Festival. Proceeds benefit the YMCA Camp Endowment Fund, allowing children great camp experiences in the coming years. The festival will feature live music, camp games and activities for all ages. Come listen to the sweet sounds of Yam Haus and Haley Bonar or grab some grub at a nearby food truck. 

Camping is $40 with breakfast included.

Cruise Against Cancer

The Cruise Against Cancer MN is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, with all the funds raised staying right here in MN! This event is held each year in loving memory of every cancer patient, family and friends who have lost the battle with cancer, and for the ones who continue to conquer it.  100% of the proceeds stays right here in the Twin Cities area and funds 24/7 support line, gives free rides to chemo, and overnight lodging to be near loved ones. There has been a 26% decrease in cancer deaths since 1991 due to fundraising efforts like this!

Maple Grove Days Library Book Sale

With a variety of literature ranging from fiction to nonfiction, children and adults alike can get their hands on a diverse selection of books at a fair price. Sponsored by Friends of the Maple Grove Library, all proceeds will be donated to the library collection and its programs.

"Patchwork Harvest" Quilt Show

200 quilts from 40 guild members with styles from quietly traditional to vividly modern. Vote for your favorites in several categories. Lunch available. Raffles and boutique support local area food shelves. The raffle quilt is beige and country blue with harmonizing colors.

Donuts and Dogs 5K

Grab your fluffy friend and a donut to work it all off as you walk or run along the trail. Proceeds of this event support Secondhand Hounds, a nonprofit animal rescue in Minnesota that works to provide a safe shelter, proper veterinary care and daily necessities for pups.

Shelter Vet Camp at the Animal Humane Society

If your child wants to grow up to be a veterinarian, this 3-hour program can set them down the right path. They’ll learn about surgery skills using a pretend patient, how to recognize common illnesses and what it’s like to work at a shelter. Kids grades 3-6.
